Imagine that you are not yet born and do not know where you will end up, or when – as a boy or a girl, as poor or rich, as healthy or disabled, as a resident of Norway or Tanzania, born in the year 2000 or in 2200, and so on. How would we then want society to be designed? If you did not know anything about where in society you would end up, what institutions, rules and tax systems would you design – and how would you distribute the world's resources?
Our Foundation's Inspiring Journey

Just before the New Year and the start of 2023, Frode Strand-Nielsen established the Dag Strand Nielsen and Family Foundation, a private non-profit foundation. The foundation is named after, and established in honor of, Frode's late older brother, Dag (1950-1995).
Dag was a gay activist and union leader.

Our purposes
Discover the story behind Dag Strand Nielsen and Family Foundation, a foundation dedicated to uplifting our community through various initiatives. These are the two purposes we use.​​
​
1. In the short term, to create the greatest possible benefit for the least advantaged.
2. To ensure a sustainable society for future generations by mitigating the risk of global catastrophic events, and strengthening society’s adaptiveness for those that cannot be prevented.
